Alice R. Warnecke, 92, of Peshtigo, passed away July 28, 2018.
Born in Marinette, October 6, 1925, daughter of the late Hilbert and Martha (Ritter) Cota, the family later moved to Cream City in Oconto County where they owned and operated a black smith shop.
December 14, 1945 she married Gilbert Hansen of Suring and they lived at quite a few different places over the years; Neenah, Appleton, and Milwaukee.  Gilbert preceded her in death Dec. 2, 1962.  After moving to Oconto she married Carleton Warnecke, of County Line, on May 22, 1965, and they farmed together for 49 years.  She dearly loved the farm, her horses, dogs, cats and all farm animals.  They were all her pets.
In the spring of 2014 the couple moved to Rennes West Nursing Home and Carleton preceded her in death November 29, 2017.
Alice is survived by a sister, Betty Speller and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Along with her parents and husbands, Alice was preceded in death by, 3 sisters, Mannie Jorgensen, Lila Fay Bintz and Cleo Rust.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 3, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Peshtigo from Noon until time of services at 2:00 pm with Pastor Luke Myslik officiating.  Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Peshtigo. 
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church.
