  1. Ardis Schwittay, 73, of Grover, passed away on Friday, January 18,2019, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Green Bay.  Ardis was born on January 8, 1946 to the late Edwin and Erna (Ewald) Zebuhr.  She married Ronald Schwittay on August 6, 1966, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in the Town of Grover.  They were married until Ron’s death in October of 2002.
Ardis was an active part of the dairy operation.  She was the calf feeder, bookkeeper, kept everyone nourished, lawn maintenance crew, parts runner, and babysitter.  Ardis was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and Marinette County Farm Bureau.  She loved baking, reading, and gardening.  She was a very loving and active grandmother, liked going out to eat with friends, and enjoyed exploring the family heritage.  When you saw the ranger moving around on the dairy, you were sure to find Ardis in the driver’s seat either looking for deer with her grandchildren, loading up garbage, delivering meals, or grabbing a milk sample.
Ardis is survived by one daughter, Michele (Dale) Carlson and three sons, Brian (Rebecca); Jason (Jenni); Jeremy (Monica) Schwittay all of Peshtigo.  She was a proud grandma to Bryan, Morgan, Lana, Jaron, Jenson, Jaedin, Julian, Colton, and  Adalyn.  She is further survived by sister-in-laws, Mary (fiancé Irv Salamonski) Walker and Barbara Schwittay; special friends, Gordon and Kathy Klimek and her furry companion, Maggie.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ronald, and a grandson.  Pallbearers are Brian Schwittay, Jason Schwittay, Jeremy Schwittay, Dale Carlson, Bryan Schwittay, Jaron Schwittay, Jenson Schwittay, and Gordon Klimek.  Honorary pallbearers are Matt Lemke, Melvin Gross, Doug Schroeder, and Donald Kaminski.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 24, 2019, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in the Town of Grover from 11 am until the time of the funeral services at 1 pm.   Burial will follow the services at the St. John’s Cemetery.  Pastor Luke Myslik will be officiating.  Berth & Rosenthal is serving the family.
