Don't Pity Me
Don't pity me, this frail shell
That lies before you here
My Master called and I've left this world
Without regret or fear
I go to where no pain or hurt
Brings suffering or despair
May I ask you, when you leave this world,
Will you come and join me there?
If you don't know, then listen please!
I can point you to the One
Who can give to you the hope I have
He is Jesus, God's dear Son
Don't pity me, my trials are passed
But if pity you must show
Tell the hopeless souls who still wander here
Of the Lord who loves them so.
