Joseph O. Bauer

 Joseph O. Bauer, 85, of Marinette passed away March 18, at Bay Area Medical Center.  Born January 28, 1933 son of the late Otto and Mary (McVane) Bauer, he married the former Claudia Schramn February 20, 1954 in Porterfield. Claudia preceded him in death March 27, 1998. The couple owned and operated Papa Joes in Coleman in 1964 and later CJB's Shingle Mill from the early 90's until it's closing in 2012.  Joseph's first job was a canned milk truck driver, then later worked at Chadwicks, Patz Company, Packerland Workworking, then Capital Interiors until his retirement in 1993.  After his retirement his daughter, Debbie, taught him how to drive a Semi and he drove for Capital Interiors.
Joseph was an avid dart all player for 2C's and enjoyed spending time with his teammates.  He was also a 4-H leader for the Roaming  Riders for many years.
Joseph is survived by, a son, Jim (Christy) Bauer; 2 daughters, Debbie (Dan) Braley and Cindy (Jeff) VanCleve;  his grandchildren, Timothy II "T.J.",  Krystina, Kayla, Zachery, Justin and Tracy; great-grandchildren, Devon and Ciara;  2 sisters, Eloise Zorn and Elsie Mae Bauer;   and many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents and his wife, Claudia, he was preceded in death by, 2 sons, Joseph Bauer II and William Bauer.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 21, at Berth & Rosenthal Funeral Home from 2:00 pm until time of services at 6:00 pm with Pastor Ronald Helgerson officiating.  Burial will be in Glenwood Memorial Gardens in Marinette.
