Lorraine Marian Bulgrin

 

Lorraine Marian Bulgrin passed to her heavenly home peacefully on July 9, 2018.  Born March 23, 1929 to the late Lillian and Ray Heidtke in Iron Mountain, Michigan, she graduated from Kingsford High School and married Charles Bulgrin on February 19, 1947 in Racine, Wisconsin. They were married for 54 years before his death in 2003.
They raised three children, Susan Seymour, Diane Block and Paul Bulgrin.
Lorraine worked at SC Johnson before moving North.  She and her husband were active members of the Harmony Sportsman Club, raising pheasants for Marinette County.  She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, camping, fishing, and hunting trips to  Wyoming.  Always a rock-hound, she couldn't resist collecting beautiful rocks from all over the country.  She and Chuck enjoyed country music and organizing card parties to fund the many Sportsman Club functions and later spent enjoyable winters in Arizona with her brothers and sisters.  She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and friends.
After selling their farm, they built their retirement log cabin home and enjoyed retirement immensely.
Lorraine served as Chaplain for the Peshtigo VFW Auxiliary and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Peshtigo.
Lorraine is survived by a daughter, Diane (Kendall) Block; a son, Paul (Susan) Bulgrin; a son-in-law, Mark Seymour; 6 grandchildren, David (Tara) Seymour, Dan (Jodi) Seymour, John (Amy) Seymour, Charles (Susan) Klatkiewicz, Brian (Brooke) Bulgrin, and Christine (Brendon) Bulgrin Cline;
Six great-grandchildren, Austin Klatkiewicz, Allie Klatkiewicz, Riley Heil, Ryker Seymour, Brynn Bulgrin and Braydee Bulgrin.  Also survived by,
2 sisters, Lavern Haigh, and Marcella Kolba; 2 brothers, John (Mitzie) Heidtke and Dave Heidtke and many beloved nieces, nephews and special friends.
Along with her parents and husband Charles, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Seymour; an infant sister; 2 brothers, Kenneth and Melvin.
Visitation will be held Monday, July 16, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Peshtigo from Noon until time of services at 2:00 pm with Pastor Luke Myslik officiating.  Burial will be in Harmony Cemetery following the service.  Berth & Rosenthal Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to:  Zion Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice.
